Product Description100% Tempranillo grapes selected from the most mature plots in Berdugo’s un-irrigated gravel vineyards. Hand harvested and specially selected from the oldest plots, the grapes undergo a 3-5 day pre-fermentation cold macerationafter which fermentation is 7-9 days at 26-28C. After 24 days maceration it is pressed and rested on fine lees, allowing a slow malolactic fermentation, for 3-6 weeks to aquire complexity. It is aged for at least 24 months in new and used French and American oak.
The characteristic wild strawberry and juicy red cherry flavours are accompanied by subtle mineral nuances derived from the gravel, silt and light clay soils of the vineyard. On the palate this is a big wine but with great balance and smooth tannins, great to drink on release but also suitable for further cellaring (5-8 years+). Product Details
